Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth begint met een onverwachte reeks gebeurtenissen waardoor Ichiban Kasuga en Kazuma Kiryu, twee legendarische ex-yakuza, aan een onvergetelijk avontuur door Japan en Hawaï beginnen. Hoofdkenmerken van de gameplay zijn:
