(09:00 LOKALE TIJD) 31 oktober 2025: Atari en PLAION REPLAI kondigen met trots aan dat de Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition, een splinternieuwe versie van de legendarische console geïnspireerd op één van de meest herkenbare iconen uit de gamegeschiedenis, nu verkrijgbaar is.
De speciale editie lanceert op vrijdag 31 oktober 2025 en brengt twee grootheden uit de videogamegeschiedenis samen — precies op tijd voor Halloween, de perfecte avond om PAC-MAN’s eeuwige jacht op spoken te vieren.
DE TERUGKEER VAN EEN KLASSIEKER
De Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition is een liefdevol herontworpen versie van de console die thuis gamen voor een hele generatie definieerde. Nu uitgevoerd in het kenmerkende PAC-MAN-geel en voorzien van verlichte karaktericonen op het voorpaneel, combineert deze collector’s edition authentiek retrodesign met moderne functies zoals HDMI-uitgang, USB-C-voeding en meerdere beeldverhoudingsopties (4:3/16:9).
Elke verpakking bevat de PAC-MAN Double Feature cartridge, waarmee spelers op twee manieren de iconische arcade-achtervolging opnieuw kunnen beleven:
- PAC-MAN 2600 – de originele thuisconsole versie die miljoenen mensen kennis liet maken met PAC-MAN’s doolhofmagie.
- PAC-MAN 7800 – een gloednieuwe, arcadestijl versie, trouw gerecreëerd voor de moderne tijd.
Elke console wordt geleverd met een PAC-MAN CX-40+ Wireless Joystick (Geel) — een opvallende herinterpretatie van Atari’s meest iconische controller.
