Ori: The Collection nu verkrijgbaar voor de Nintendo Switch

Amsterdam - 12 oktober 2021 --  Beide bekroonde Ori-titels, Ori and the Blind Forest en Ori and the Will of the Wisps zijn nu gebundeld verkrijgbaar als Ori: The Collection voor de Nintendo Switch. Ori: The Collection bevat een enkele gamecard met Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition en Ori and the Will of the Wisps voor de Nintendo Switch. Daarnaast bevat deze bundel beide bekroonde soundtracks en zes fraaie artkaarten. Ori: The Collection is ontwikkeld door iam8bit, Moon Studios en Xbox Game Studios, de wereldwijde distributie wordt verzorgd door hun partner Skybound Games.

Hiernaast heef iam8bit op veler verzoek de Ori Collector’s Edition opnieuw uitgebracht. Deze editie bevat niet alleen de fysieke versies van zowel Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition als Ori and the Will of the Wisps voor de Nintendo Switch, maar ook diverse speciale items, inclusief een prachtig glas-in-lood-stijl artwork. De Ori Collector’s Edition was één van de meest gezochte verzameledities van 2020 en komt in 2021 exclusief beschikbaar via iam8bit.com!
 
De Ori-franchise begon in 2015 met de release van Ori and the Blind Forest. Dit eerste deel werd overladen met lofprijzingen en won meer dan 50 awards en nominaties, inclusief Best Art Direction van The Game Awards, de BAFTA Games Award for Artistic Achievement, en de DICE Awards voor Outstanding Achievement in Original Composition, Art Direction en Animation.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps kwam in maart 2020 beschikbaar via Xbox Game Pass, en werd al even enthousiast ontvangen als de voorganger, met nominaties voor verschillende prijzen van de 2021 Game Developer’s Choice Awards, BAFTA Game Awards, D.I.C.E. Awards, SXSW Gaming Awards en de Golden Joystick Award. De game werd bij lancering gemarkeerd als Metacritic Must-Play-titel en werd door zowel fans als media geprezen met zeer positieve reviews. GamesRadar+ noemde het  “één van de beste platformers ooit gemaakt, en (…) grote kandidaat voor spel van het jaar.”
