3일, 플레이온의 딥 실버와 댐버스터 스튜디오는 ‘데드 아일랜드 2’의 출시를 약 2달 앞두고 실제 게임 플레이를 깊이 있게 아우르는 약 15분가량의 새로운 게임 플레이 트레일러 확장판을 공개했다.

이번 공개된 트레일러에서는 로스앤젤레스 벨에어에서 시작하는 게임 초반부터 시작하여 게임 캐릭터, 무기, 좀비 유형 등 게임 플레이의 확장된 내용을 심도 있게 보여준다.
데드 아일랜드 2에서 가장 눈여겨볼 부분은 혁신적인 전투 시스템이다. 6명의 주인공 학살자 캐릭터는 각각의 매력적인 서사와 성격과 더불어 개성 있는 전투 스타일을 갖췄다. 학살자 캐릭터들은 좀비 바이러스에 감염은 되었으나 면역이 생겼으며, 역으로 좀비 바이러스 DNA를 컨트롤해 분노 모드로 진입하여 새로운 힘을 사용할 수 있다. 여기에 강력한 스킬 카드시스템을 통해 캐릭터의 능력과 분노 모드 공격을 강화할 수 있다. 스킬 카드는 다양한 카드를 조합하거나 혹은 분노 모드와 결합하여 다양한 능력을 해제할 수 있어 무궁무진한 전투 스타일을 경험할 수 있다.
또 한 가지 댐버스터 스튜디오에서 심혈을 기울인 부분은 더 까다롭고 사실적인 좀비 경험이다. 로스앤젤레스 주민이었을 때의 흔적이 오롯이 남은 외형과 독특한 능력 및 행동 패턴을 가진 약 6종의 좀비와의 접전은 댐버스터 스튜디오가 내세우는 새로운 기술 F.L.E.S.H(인간형 생물의 위치적 신체 해체 시스템)을 통해 뼈를 부수고, 부위를 잘라내고, 살점을 녹이는 등 더 고어한 액션 경험이 될 것이다.
데드 아일랜드 2는 매력적인 캐릭터, 혁신적인 스킬 시스템, 더 까다롭고 사실적인 좀비 유형, 자유자재로 변형할 수 있는 무기 커스텀을 탑재하여 4월 21일, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, 그리고 PC의 에픽 게임즈에서 정식 한글판으로 출시된다. 현재 각 플랫폼 스토어에서 디지털 버전의 예약 구매가 가능하며 디지털 예약 구매자에게 무기와 스킬 카드로 구성된 ‘바노이의 기억팩’을 제공한다. 데드 아일랜드 2의 국내 배급 및 유통은 H2인터렉티브가 맡았다.
