29 April, 2025 – Cardboard Sword, and PLAION, are excited to today reveal their debut title The Siege and the Sandfox will be releasing next month. The wait is over for this noteworthy 2D stealth Metroidvania and to celebrate the team have released a new trailer for the adventure. The Siege and the Sandfox will be available on 20th May 2025 on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG and Humble for $/€14.99.
The Sandfox, known as the Kasha’I, is famed across the land as part of the legendary line of faithful protectors and servants to the crown. In this ‘Stealthvania’ adventure players will explore the majestic palace of an ancient desert city, Kariman, under siege by its neighbouring kingdom, and venture into the ruins below to overcome a threat from a sand-borne evil. In The Siege and the Sandfox players will master dynamic parkour abilities, and use cunning and stealth to discover the true threat lurking within.
