Unique Fafnir event promises epic loot in honour of the Wagner Year 2013

Berlin, 15^th of August 2013: While players are eagerly awaiting the launch of the online role-playing game Dragon’s Prophet in a few weeks, the Berlin-based publisher have already released a brand-new patch to the European servers this week. The highlight of the latest update is the Dragon Sanctuary where guilds can now summon more than 100 challenging boss monsters thanks to complex guild technologies and the Altar of Sacrifice. In addition to that, players can now further customize their character through the styling shop, use new commands for their dragons and take part in the Fafnir event. To master this in-game event, players need to gather specific items from various dungeons in order to be able to take on the mighty dragon from Wagner’s Ring Cycle.

After a guild has successfully research the new technology, members can teleport to the Dragon Sanctuary and make use of all its features. Through the Altar of Sacrifice, they can summon the most challenging boss monsters. However, they have to sacrifice three items, each of a specific type like weapons, armor, or potions first. The type and quality of the item determines which boss monster will be summoned and what loot players will receive in addition to the honor points gained after they’ve successfully bested the beast. On top of that, players can kill three special bosses for extra bounty. After the battle, all guild members can spend some time in the sanctuary and use the shared Guild Storage.

With the new patch, Infernum also introduces a very special event to the game. In honour of the Wagner Year 2013, Fafnir, the mightiest dragon of northern mythology, finds its way into Auratia. But before players can fight this legendary beast, they have to find a special potion and a key. While the key opens the dungeon, the potion is crucial if players want to endure the poisonous cloud that surrounds Fafnir.

Balancing is also a very important part of any update. The latest patch brings numerous changes that improve the attribute system of Dragon’s Prophet. For example, the attribute “Charisma” is no longer relevant for taming dragons. Instead, players now need the new attribute called “Dragon Capture Points” that can only be found on accessories like rings, necklaces and earrings. In addition to that, all other attributes were revised and improved to accommodate these changes.
